Jeffrey Wilt, Founding Partner
Jeffrey founded The Monument Group in 1996 with this simple mission: to help those who help others by giving them the tools they need to succeed. With a focus on engagement – engaging nonprofit staff in strategic development, engaging board members in major gift fundraising, engaging volunteers to best tap their energy and commitment – Jeffrey has helped nonprofits hone their focus, leverage their assets, and achieve extraordinary results. With these partnerships, Jeffrey’s guidance has not only helped nonprofits raise millions of dollars, but enhance and grow their effectiveness so that they can carry out their own missions with increased reach and resonance.
Reflecting his own commitment to the broader community, Jeffrey stays busy on the volunteer front. He has served on numerous nonprofit boards and committees, contributing both his expertise and resources toward the success of a range of nonprofit organizations. In his capacity as both consultant and board member, Jeffrey has developed unparalleled expertise in Central Virginia with supporting nonprofits in mergers, acquisitions, and formation of strategic partnerships. He was instrumental in the successful mergers between Meals on Wheels and Central VA Food Bank – now FeedMore, CARITAS and The Healing Place, and Family Lifeline and CHIP. Jeffrey was also part of the team that managed the consolidation of the American Civil War Center and the Museum of the Confederacy into the American Civil War Museum. More recently, Jeffrey helped Virginia League for Planned Parenthood work through a strategic merger with Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Virginia, doubling the organization’s service area and annual fund, and most importantly, tripling the number of patients served.
Jeffrey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Temple University. He is a graduate of Leadership Metro Richmond.
