Under new leadership in 2015, The Community Foundation serving Richmond & Central Virginia (now Community Foundation for a greater Richmond) worked with The Monument Group on several special projects and strategic initiatives.
Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties engaged The Monument Group to strategize with a group of donor advisors, the Loudoun Community Cabinet, to identify strategic ways to partner with business, governmental, and non-profit sectors to support the County’s most critical needs.
Community Foundation of the Dan River Region engaged The Monument Group to assist their staff and/or board with planning for and conducting a strategic planning retreat on fund development strategies and supporting the Foundation’s 20th Anniversary initiatives.
Community Foundation of the Rappahanock River Region engaged The Monument Group to assist their staff and board with fund development strategies.
Diversity Richmond engaged The Monument Group for feasibility study services.
The Monument Group is working with Richmond’s First Baptist Church in creating a more intentional approach to generosity, stewardship, and philanthropy.
The Monument Group worked to increase the philanthropic engagement of the network members of the Virginia Community Action Partnerships through trainings and individualized coaching sessions.
A group of 15 foundations and corporations engaged The Monument Group to help them form a statewide network of funders, which they called the Virginia Funders Network. Through our work, we identified unifying themes, developed the case statement, successfully helped solicit 100 members, and led the search for the first CEO.
The Monument Group was engaged for coaching the staff and volunteers at Wesley at Virginia Tech through the process of implementing a culture of philanthropy as they sought to upscale their fundraising significantly.
