Gillian Lugbill, Consultant
Gillian Lugbill is as passionate about the community as she is about writing. For nonprofits, that’s a winning combination. She enters an organization and becomes part of the development team, helping the executive director translate development strategies into written forms that are clear, executable, and measureable. She also analyzes an organization’s past and present fundraising efforts and works with the team to pursue ways to both enhance existing funder relationships and create new opportunities within the fundraising community.
Since she started working with the Monument Group in 2011, Gillian has helped nonprofits’ fundraising efforts in a variety of sectors, including social and legal, arts and culture, mental health, college access and success, family services, adults with intellectual disabilities and/or age-related diseases, and individuals with physical disabilities.
In 2013, The Richmond Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America gave an Award of Merit to St. Joseph’s Villa and 93 Octane for the Believing Is Seeing Campaign Finale Report. Gillian was part of the team that created that report.
Gillian is a graduate of both the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and George Mason University with a teaching certificate. She taught biology to high school and middle school students, and for ten years, Gillian taught reading to elementary school children.
